Learning Targets:

This course will familiarize students with standard labour market models based on the textbook: Labor Economics by Pierre Cahuc, Stéphane Carcillo and André Zylberberg, which covers cutting-edge work in all the major areas of modern labor economics. Students will develop a profound theoretical understanding of how labour markets work and how labour market outcomes can be interpreted and explained.

The course is based on the textbook: Labor Economics by Pierre Cahuc, Stéphane Carcillo and André Zylberberg, which is available as an e-book via the University Library of the University of Duisbug-Essen. Original research articles will be used as a complimentary source.
